ANZAC Day Service

Students remember those that have served in wars, conflicts and peace operations.

The Katandra West Primary Schoool community came together to attend an ANZAC Day Service at the Katandra West War Memorial.

Students took time to remember those that have served in wars, conflicts and peace operations. Each class had the opportunity to lay a wreath, poster or poppies at the memorial during the service. Our senior students showed leadership in their participation by explaining why we have ANZAC Day, laying a wreath, reading In Flanders Fields and The Ode, and raising the flag after The Last Post.

At the conclusion of the service, all students placed a metal poppy, beautifully made by memebers of the Katandra West and District Men's Shed, in the garden beds at the memorial.

Lest we forget.
